Renewal of CAL's Institution of a Public Character (IPC) Status

Caregivers Alliance Limited (CAL)’s Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status has been renewed from 1 February 2019 to 31 October 2020. Approval as an IPC permits CAL to issue tax deductible receipts for qualifying amounts to donors, allowing taxpaying donors to claim 2.5 times the amount of their donations in tax relief. As an example, a donor giving $100 to CAL would have $250 deducted from their total taxable income for the purposes of tax assessment. IPC status is given only to organisations in Singapore that are exclusively non-profit in nature and are beneficial to the community. As a result, IPC status is often used as an indication that an organisation is a legitimate charity. The renewal of CAL’s IPC status is testament to CAL’s work in serving the needs of caregivers in Singapore on a purely charitable basis, particularly through its fully-funded Caregivers-to-Caregivers Training Programme (C2C), conducted at no costs to caregivers. CAL relies on donations to fund its programmes. To help us continue serving the community of caregivers of persons with mental health issues through free training and support, you may make a donation here: www.cal.org.sg/donate
