Studies had shown that nature and nature-related activities are beneficial to us. Forest Therapy refers to the practice of spending time in forested areas for the purpose of enhancing health, wellness, and happiness. The practice follows the general principle that it is beneficial to spend time bathing in the atmosphere of the forest.
We invite caregivers and their loved ones who are wheelchair or personal mobility aid (PMA) users to experience 2.5 hours personalised and exclusive session where we will visit your preferred nature location or recommended nature locations such as Hindhede Nature Park, Singapore Botanic Gardens and Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve at your preferred date and time in August to September 2020, subject to location feasibility and guide availability. This nature experience is at no cost to the families/groups and includes two-way wheelchair accessible van transport, guide, snacks and drinks.
Nature Reconnections is initiated and organized on a volunteer basis by Kian, a Certified Forest Therapy Guide as a way to contribute towards community well-being and supported by Temasek Trust (Oscar@Sg Fund).
