We Care Toolkit Training

To all our Caregivers: Have you ever wished that others understood the challenges you face a little better? Do you wish that you could support caregivers just like yourself? In partnership with the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), the We Care Toolkit Training for caregivers aims to help you do just that, by teaching new ways to share about the issues that caregivers face and providing means to empower caregivers to cope with difficulties. The Toolkit has tools for helping caregivers explain their emotions, and for nudging them to seek help in areas of need. There are also tools which will help you open up conversations with other caregivers about their experiences and approaches to caregiving, teach you to facilitate exploring difficult topics, and show you how to frame caregiving positively. Come join the We Care Toolkit Training Session on 18 September 2018, 2 – 6 pm, at CAL’s Valley Point Main Office to learn about the 8 Tools for caregivers, and how they can be used to transform your approach to caregiving. Note: This training is reserved for C2C-trained caregivers only. Limited spaces available.
